The Camarillo Airport hosted an airshow over the weekend of August 19 - 20. The airshow was sponsored by Chapter 723 of the Experimental Aircraft Association and featured flying performances by the airplanes of the Southern California Wing of the Commemorative Air Force.

North American T-28B Trojan, N6255 and North American T-28C Trojan N528TC. T-28B, N6255 has been registered to Viper Aviation of Simi Valley for three years. It originally flew for the Navy as BuNo 138340 and it still wears that number. Its North American construction number is 200-411. It was registered as N5524L by J. A. Carter of Alameda, California in March 1987. Howard Roberts of Grants Pass oregon acquired it in 1992. T-28C, N528TC was delivered to the U.S. Navy as BuNo 146253 in 1957. Its construction number is 252-16. Southern California Aviation of Corona Del Mar, California registered it as N912KK in January 1986. Daniel W. Lawson of Las Vegas, Nevada acquired it in 1988. It has been registered to Sandpiper Aviation of Reno, Nevada since January 4, 2002.

The show opened at 1:00 P.M. with a plane towing a giant American flag accompanied by the national anthem.
