Delta Airbus A330-323 N807NW Delta Flight 1772 from Atlanta to Phoenix was flown by Airbus A330-323 N807NW on November 7, 2016. DAL1772 is normally flown by a 757. The day before, it was flown by a 777. On November 8, it will be flown by a 737. This is the first A330 that I have seen at Sky Harbor.

Delta Boeing 777-232LR N701DN arrived at Sky Harbor as Delta Flight 1772 from Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport on November 6, 2016. 777s are not often seen at Sky Harbor.

Since its first event in 1973, the Copperstate Fly-In has been bringing together aviation enthusiasts in the southwest United States. This year the fly-in moved from Casa Grnde to Falcon Field in Mesa.

Tim Kaine visited Phoenix for a fundraiser and a rally on November 3, 2016. His 737-484 N314XA landed at Phoenix Sky Harbor at 1:30 in the afternoon.

Donald Trump visited Phoenix for a fundraiser and a rally on October 29, 2016. His 757-2J4 N757AF landed at Phoenix Sky Harbor at 2:45 in the afternoon.

NASA's Super Guppy N941NA visited Phoenix-Mesa Gateway on October 21, 2016 on its way from Buckley Air Force Base, Colorado to Moffet Federal Airfield, California. It was delivering the heat shield for an Orion spacecraft.

First Lady Michelle Obama visited Phoenix, Arizona on October 20, 2016. She arrived at Phoenix Sky Harbor aboard Boeing C-40C 02-0201 (call sign Executive One Foxtrot) at 1:30 in the afternoon. She was in town for an event at the Phoenix Convention Center.

The Boeing 787-8 Max Prototype N8704Q visited Phoenix Sky Harbor on September 25, 2016.

Donald Trump visited Phoenix for a fundraiser and a rally on June 18, 2016. His 757-2J4 N757AF landed at Phoenix Sky Harbor at 1:59 in the afternoon.

Volga-Dnepr An-124 RA-82068 arrived at Phoenix Sky Harbor at 8:55 in the morning on June 15, 2016. It came from Chubu Centrair International in Japan by way of Elmendorf AFB, Anchorage, and MCAS Miramar. It departed for Kinston Regional, North Carolina three hours later.

I spent some time at Los Angeles international Airport photographing airliners and frieghters on May 3, 2016. Airbus A380 operations are picking up. 777s are hauling the majority of international passengers. 747s are not as common as they used to be. Several 787s showed up. I started the day shooting operations on the south runways from Imperial Hill before moving to photograph the approaches to the north runways.

The 2016 Planes of Fame Airshow began on Friday, April 29, 2016 with a twilight show. The flying started shortly after 3:00 in the afternoon and lasted until after sunset.

The 2016 Planes of Fame Airshow featured a simulated attackon Pearl Harbor, a demo by the Jelly Belly Interstate S-1A, Army airplane flybys, aerobatics by Rob Harrison in Tumbing Bear and the Granleys flying a Yak 18T and Yak-55M, Korean War airplane and jet warbird flybys, the airplanes of the Texas Flying Legends, demos by a Hawker Sea Fury and a Grumman F7F Tigercat, Naval aircraft flybys, a General Dynamics F-16 "Viper" demo, an Air Force Heritage Flight, and aerobatics by John Collver in North American SNJ Texan War Dog.

The Collings Foundation Wings of Freedom Tour: Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress N93012 Nine-O-Nine, North American TP-51C-10 Mustang NL251MX Betty Jane, North American B-25J Mitchell NL3476G Tondelayo, and Consolidated B-24J Liberator N224J Witchcraft arrived at the Mesa Gateway Airport on Wednesday, April 13, 2016. On Friday, April 15, the airplanes departed for the Scottsdale Airport.

The Collings Foundation Wings of Freedom Tour: Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress, N93012 Nine-O-Nine, North American TP-51C-10 Mustang NL251MX Betty Jane and Consolidated B-24J Liberator N224J Witchcraft arrived at the Deer Valley Airport on Monday, April 11, 2016. On Wednesday, April 13, the airplanes departed for Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport.
