Delta Airbus A330-323 N807NW Delta Flight 1772 from Atlanta to Phoenix was flown by Airbus A330-323 N807NW on November 7, 2016. DAL1772 is normally flown by a 757. The day before, it was flown by a 777. On November 8, it will be flown by a 737. This is the first A330 that I have seen at Sky Harbor.
Delta Boeing 777-232LR N701DN arrived at Sky Harbor as Delta Flight 1772 from Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport on November 6, 2016. 777s are not often seen at Sky Harbor.
Since its first event in 1973, the Copperstate Fly-In has been bringing together aviation enthusiasts in the southwest United States. This year the fly-in moved from Casa Grnde to Falcon Field in Mesa.

First Lady Michelle Obama visited Phoenix, Arizona on October 20, 2016. She arrived at Phoenix Sky Harbor aboard Boeing C-40C 02-0201 (call sign Executive One Foxtrot) at 1:30 in the afternoon. She was in town for an event at the Phoenix Convention Center.

Volga-Dnepr An-124 RA-82068 arrived at Phoenix Sky Harbor at 8:55 in the morning on June 15, 2016. It came from Chubu Centrair International in Japan by way of Elmendorf AFB, Anchorage, and MCAS Miramar. It departed for Kinston Regional, North Carolina three hours later.
I spent some time at Los Angeles international Airport photographing airliners and frieghters on May 3, 2016. Airbus A380 operations are picking up. 777s are hauling the majority of international passengers. 747s are not as common as they used to be. Several 787s showed up. I started the day shooting operations on the south runways from Imperial Hill before moving to photograph the approaches to the north runways.
