There are several interesting transient airplanes at the Santa Barbara Airport.
Minden Air Lockheed SP-2H Neptune, N4692A Tanker 48 took off from Runway 25 at about 10:00 A.M. on Sunday, October 9. About an hour later, it returned to the airport and made a pass over Runway 07. Then it was cleared to a heading of 180 degrees. I immediately drove to the viewing area at the east end of the runway.
I didn't have long to wait before the Neptune appeared on the approach to Runway 07.
It settled onto the runway and slowed.
It came all the way to the end of the runway before turning right onto the taxiway.
On Saturday, October 8, I was granted the opportunity to photograph the Do-24ATT up close.
