Vandenberg Air Force Base hosted an airshow over Halloween weekend. The weather was sunny, breezy, and cool. The show featured a peformance by the new Raytheon T-6A Texan II.

English Hawker Hunter Mk58A, N58MX was still wearing Swiss Air Force camouflage when it appeared at the Miramar Marine Corps Air Station Airshow on October 18, 2003.
North American Rockwell T-39G NA-265-60 Sabreliner, N607CF. Its North American construction number is 306-118.

Beechcraft D17S Staggerwing, NC67736 was built in 1943. Its Beechcraft construction number is 4848. It has been registered to Archie Lane of Cyprus, California since August 1997.

Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress, N9323Z Sentimental Journey still carries its original Army Air Force serial number, 44-83514. It was retired from the Air Force in January 1959. In the sixties, Sentimental Journey flew for Aero Union Corporation of Chico, California as tanker #E17. It is currently registered to the American Airpower Heritage Flying Museum of Midland, Texas. It is operated by the Arizona Wing of the Confederate Air Force out of Falcon Field near Mesa, Arizona.
Lockheed MC-130P Combat Shadow, 66-0212 of the 58th Special Operations Wing based at Kirtland Air Foce Base, New Mexico. It is equipped with Fulton recovery gear to retrieve personnel from the ground or to snatch reconnaissance packages from satellites. MC-130P Combat Shadow operates along various low level routes day and night in areas south and west of Kirtland AFB, eastern Arizona and southern Colorado. It refuels both the MH-53J and the HH-60G. The Shadow often flies formation approaches to Alexander-Belen and landings at Roswell. It flies at airspeeds ranging from 110 to 250 kts and altitudes ranging from 300 ft to 3000 ft AGL day or night. In the Kirtland area, they operate under the call sign "Shadow" and "Akela".

Lockheed-Martin F-117A Full Scale Development (FSD) Stealth Fighter, 79-10782 of the 412th Test Wing based at Edwards Air Force Base. This is the oldest Stealth Fighter still flying. The two older F-117s are on display at the Air Force Museum and Nellis Air Force Base.

Mitsubishi A6M-3 Model 22 "Zero", NX712Z, Curtiss Warhawk Mk. 1, N940AK, and North American P-51D Mustang, N451TB Kimberly Kaye.
Mitsubishi A6M-3 Model 22 "Zero", NX712Z is part of the collection of the Southern California Wing of the Commemorative Air Force. I has been registered to the Liberty Aero Corporation since February 1998. Its Mitsubishi construction number is 3869. It was found on New Guinea near the town of Babo. Its restoration was begun in Russia and completed in the United States. It is powered by a Pratt & Whitney R-1830 radial engine.
Curtiss Warhawk Mk. 1, N940AK is restored as P-40E 41-13521. It was built for the Royal Air Force as AK940, but it was diverted to the Royal Canadian Air Force, which it served as 1058. It was recently restored in New Zealand. It is currently based at Livermore, California.

North American P-51D Mustang, N451TB Kimberly Kaye is restored as 44-11153. It served the Army Air Corps as 45-11559. It is currently based at Dover, Delaware.

North American AT-6D Texan, N8451B was built in 1943.
Yak-9U-M, N900EA Barbarossa was built in 1996. It is flown by Eddie Andrieni.
North American P-51D Mustang, N2580 Six Shooter has been registered to Charles Hall of Annis, Montana since January 1996. It was rebuilt as a Cavalier T Mk. 2 two seater in the 1960s. It received a new Air Force serial number, 67-22580, and was delivered to the FA Boliviana as FAB 520 on January 19, 1968. It was recovered by Arny Carnegie of Edmonton, Alberta in December 1977 and recieved the Canadian registration C-GXUQ. McClain Flight Service of Strathmmore, Alberta bought it in August 1978. Richard Korff of Lockport, New York reigstered it as N151RK (the standard 51 and owner's initials registration applied to so many Mustangs) in October 1986.
North American SNJ-5 Texan, N1038A War Dog was built in 1944. Its U.S. Navy Bureau Number was 90917 and it still wears that number on its tail. After retirement from the U. S. Navy, it served for many years with the Japanese Air Self Defense Force. It has been a familiar sight on the airshow circuit for many years. It is owned and piloted by John Collver.
North American P-51D Mustang, N151AF Val Halla wears post war Air Force markings. Its North American construction number is 124-48278. It has been registered to the Heritage Flight Museum of Eastsound, Washington since February 1999. Its pilot is Bill Anders, who was on the Apollo 8 mission to the moon in 1968. Val Halla still wears its original Army Air Force serial number of 45-11525. It entered the civil register in March 1982 as N91JB. It was owned by John Macguire of Texas. After 1984, it was operated as Silver Ghost by the War Eagles Air Museum of Santa Theresa, New Mexico.
North American AT-6G Texan, N49939 is restored as a Marine Corps SNJ-7. It served the Air Force as 49-3352. Its North American construction number is 168-465.
North American B-25J Mitchell, N8195H Heavenly Body was manufactured by North American at Kansas City in late 1944 and was accepted by the U.S Army Air Force in February 1945 as B-25J-25-NC, 44-30748. Its North American construction number is 108-34023.

Grumman F8F-2 Bearcat, N7825C originally wore Navy BuNo 122674. Its Grumman construction number is D.1227. It was built in 1948. E. Weiner of Los Angeles registered it under its current tail number in 1958. It was bought by Leo Demeers of Aurora, Oregon in 1963. Richard Tobey of Newport Beach, California in acquired it in 1966 and then sold it to Paul Finefrock of Hobart, Oklahoma in 1969. Gary Levitz picked it up later that year. It has belonged to the Confederate Air Force since 1972. It underwent a major rebuild from 1989 to 1991. It made its first flight after the rebuild on December 17, 1991.
