On Saturday, June 12, 2004, Santa Fe steam locomotive 3751 made an unassisted run from Union Station to San Bernardino to be displayed at the rededication of the depot. It returned to Union Station on Sunday afternoon.
Santa Fe engine No. 3751 is a Northern class 4-8-4. Baldwin manufactured it in 1927 for the Atchison, Topeka, and Santa Fe Railway. She was retired from revenue service in 1953.
