The Edwards Air Force Base Open House was held the weekend of October 25-26. During the two-day event, visitors saw new and unique aircraft in the Air Force inventory, and some of the best aerial demonstration pilots and teams performing today. The various demonstrations included Air Force aircraft such as the F/A-22, F-117, F-16, KC-135, C-17, B-1, which set 52 official world records, B-2, as well as NASA aircraft among others. This was also a once-a-year opportunity for taxpayers to see the kind of equipment they buy for the Air Force, and the abilities of the people who test, fly and maintain this equipment.

The static display aircraft were arrayed on the flightline Friday afternoon as the United States Air Force Thunderbirds arrived.

NATO Boeing E-3A Sentry, 79-0442 LX-N from Luxembourg.

Boeing-McDonnell-Douglas C-17A Globemaster III, 01-0194 of the 437 AW and 315 AW based at Charleston, North Carolina.

Boeing KC-135R Stratotanker, 62-3534 of the 19th Aerial Refueling Group.

Northrop T-38A-75 Talon, 68-8153 of the 412th Test Wing.

Raytheon T-6A Texan of the 558 Fighter Training Squadron.

Lockheed-Martin-General Dynamics NF-16D, 86-0048 Variable Stability In-flight Simulator Test Aircraft (VISTA) of the Air Force Test Pilot School.

Lockheed-Martin F-22A Engineering, Manufacture, and Development (EMD) Raptor, 91-4002 was being towed to its display position as the media contingent arrived on the flightline.

Boeing-McDonnell-Douglas F-15E-41 Strike Eagle, 86-0184 of the 412th Test Wing.

On Saturday morning, F-15E-41 Strike Eagle, 86-0184 was loaded with a variety of bombs and air-to-air missiles.

Lockheed-Martin-General Dynamics F-16C Block40A Fighting Falcon, 87-0352 of the 412th Test Wing.

McDonnell-Douglas F-15B Eagle, 73-0114 of the 412th Test Wing.

General Dynamics F-16A Fighting Falcon Block 15 AQ, 92-0407 of the 412th Operations Group was originally allocated to Pakistan. It was embargoed for several years at AMARC.

Lockheed-Martin F-117A FSD Stealth Fighter, 79-10782 is the oldest F-117 still flying. Two older Stealth Fighters are on display at the Air Force Museum and Nellis Air Force Base.

Lockheed U-2S, 80-1067 is based at Palmdale. It wears the tail code WR because the Air Force U-2 program management is based at Warner-Robins Air Force Base, Georgia.

Boeing-Rockwell B-1B Lancer, 85-0073 Dark Knight of the 13th Bombardment Squadron Grim Reapers based at Dyess Air Force Base, Texas.
