Stout Bushmaster flight at Camarillo, August 25, 2001

Go to the Home PageOn Saturday, August 25, 2001, I took a ride in the Stout Bushmaster operated by Tri-Motor Air Tours. The Bushmaster is based on the design of the Ford Tri-Motor. These are frames from the video that I shot of our Bushmaster flight. (click on any picture to see a larger version)

The cabin of the Bushmaster is taller than the original Ford.

The Bushmaster turned back toward the airport and flew along the coast just a couple of thousand feet up.

A Pitts Special accompanied the Bushmaster when it took off with a load of parachutists for the opening of the flying displays. The Pitts flew circles around the descending parachutists.
