The Santa Barbara Airport hosted "A Day at the Airport" on Saturday, September 25. Here's a survey of the wide variety of general aviation and regional airline airplanes that flew into the Santa Barbara Airport in the 24 hours before the event.

North American P-51D Mustang, N51MV Nervous Energy No. 5 arrived at the airport at a quarter to nine in the morning the day before the event. I shot its intial pass over the airport from my back yard. I drove to the viewing area at the east end of the airport.

Canadian manufactured Skywest Airlines Bombardier CL-600-2B19 Regional Jet, N430SW flies for Delta Connection. Its serial number is 7523, and it was built in 2001.

Nothing special was happening at the airport so I returned home.

Convair C-131D Samaritan, N131CW made a pass over the airport at half past eleven. I drove back to the airport to see if I could photograph its landing.

Brazilian manufactured Skywest Airlines Embraer EMB-120ER Brasilia, N233SW flies for United Express. Its serial number is 120.307, and it was built in 1995.

Convair C-131D Samaritan N131CW returned to the airport at a quarter to twelve.

Sikorsky SH-60B Seahawk, 162346, #50 of Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron Light HSL-45 Wolfpack based at Naval Air Station North Island.

Sikorsky SH-60B Seahawk, 162346, #50 of Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron Light HSL-45 Wolfpack flew in and taxied to Hangar 1. The crew probably went to the Elephant Bar for lunch.
