Vintage Tin Lithograph Airplane Toys for Sale |
I am auctioning some vintage tin lithograph airplane toys on eBay. These toys were manufactured in Japan and the United states in the 1950s and 1960s.
Japanese Linemar tin lithograph battery operated Pan Am 707 Airliner N707PA with box. Very big. 18-inch wing span, 19 inches long.
Lithography is bright and clean. Battery operated functions work properly. It makes jet noise, rolls forward and stops repeatedly. Only the number-2 engine nacelle still lights up. All wheels and tires are intact. It takes 3 D-cell batteries.

Battery operated jet plane with automatic stop and go action and lighted engines.
One of the many Linemar toys. Do you have all of them? The left front corner of the box top is torn.
There is a rip in the left flap of the box top.


Vintage Tin Lithography Marx Twin Engine Army bomber, Green 6. Made in USA .
18-inch wing span, 14 inches long.
Lithography is bright and clean. Wind-up spring is intact and operates smoothly.
The wind up spring is intact and in good condition.

Shows some play wear. Friction drive no longer connected to propellers.
Missing one propeller blade each from the outboard engines. One propeller blade is loose on the left outboard propeller and may not survive shipping.







19-inch wing span, 15 inches long.
Shows some play wear. Friction drives all four propellers. All propellers, wheels and tires are intact.








This is a later version of this toy with oval jet engine intakes that more closely resemble those of the actual North American B-45 Tornado.
16-inch wing span, 13 inches long.
Shows some play wear. Sparkers no longer function.




Red transparent pieces in engines are intact.
All wheels and rubber tires are intact.

Minor dent on the right outboard engine nacelle.
The rear wheel is missing, but the toy sits properly on the remaining landing gear. The rubber tires on the main landing gear are in good condition.


This toy was built by Yonezawa for Line Mar to import into the United States. It is based on Yonezawa's United States Air Force Boeing B-50 Superfortress toy. The B-50 was developed from the B-29 Superfortress and looks very similar.

Small corrosion flecks on the engine nacelles.

The tabs holding the left main landing gear are missing. The left main gear rubber tires are missing.



I do not recognize the trademark symbol of the toy manufacturer. It looks like they copied Yonezawa's United States Air Force Boeing B-50 Superfortress toy.
