On Thursday, March 2, I spent a few hours on the hill above Imperial Highway photographing the traffic on the south runways at LAX.

Asiana Boeing 747-48EM, HL7421 flight AAR201 to Incheon, Korea. It carries construction number 25784. It was delivered to Asiana on August 16, 1996.

Boeing 707-138B, N707JT carries construction number 18740. It was delivered to QANTAS on September 10, 1964, making it the oldest airplane on this display. Braniff Airways registered it as N108BN on June 24, 1969. Tracey Investmetn bought it in September 1975 and sold it to TAG Aviation in October 1977. TAG rergistered it as N707XX in July 1990 and then sold it to Aviation Methods in 1995. Jet Clipper Johnny LLC acquired it on May 20, 1998 and gave it its current registration on December 12, 1998. It has been restored in vintage QANTAS livery. The 707-138 is ten feet shorter than the standard 707-120.

Boeing 707-330B, N88ZL has been charted by Bon Jovi for their United States concert tour. It carries construction number 18928. It was delivered to Lufthansa as D-ABUF on December 28, 1965. It was leased to Condor for three years. Aerommer/Lowa registered it as N5381X on July 3, 1984. It received its current registration in March 1985.

United Airlines Boeing 767-322ER, N669UA flight UAL83 to Honolulu. It carries construction number 30025. It was delivered to United on June 28, 1999.

Lufthansa Boeing 747-430, D-ABVW flight DLH456 from Frankfurt. It carries construction number 29493. It was delivered to Lufthansa on March 13, 1999.

Air New Zealand Boeing 747-4F6, ZK-SUJ. It carries construction number 27602. It was delivered to ILFC as N756PR on June 29, 1998. Air New Zealand has leased it since October 7, 1998.

El Al Boeing 767-330ER, 4X-EAJ flight ELY106 to to Ben-Gurion International Airport, Tel Aviv by way of Toronto, Canada. It carries construction number 25208. It was delivered to Condor as D-ABUY on July 30, 1991. Air Europe Italy registered it as EI-CIY on December 23, 1993, changed the registration to I-AEIY on February 17, 1999, and then registered it as I-PEIY on April 11, 2001. Volare Airlines leased it as I-VEIY on December 13, 2001. Sobelair leased it as OO-SLT on March 11, 2003 and subleased it to Dutch Caribbean Airlines on May 15, 2003. Wells Fargo registered it as N208LS on February 27, 2004 and leased it to El Al on March 25, 2004.

China Eastern Airlines Airbus A340-642, B-6053 flight CES586 to Pudong International Airport, Shanghai, China. It carries construction number 577. It was delivered to China Eastern on June 28, 2004

United Airlines Boeing 757-222, N521UA flight UAL254 to Denver. It carries construction number 24891. It was delivered to United on October 16, 1990.

Delta Airlines Boeing 757-232, N607DL flight DAL101 to Atlanta. It carries construction number 22814. It was delivered to Delta on May 14, 1985

Air New Zealand Boeing 747-419, ZK-NBS flight ANZ18 from Christchurch International Airport, New Zealand. It carries construction number 24386. It was delivered to Air New Zealand on December 14, 1989. For its first thirteen months of service it was leased to Cathay Pacific.
